OFFICE PXK CARE WHAT IS THE AFNOR S90-700 STANDARD ? All products in the PIXCARE range are certified to AFNOR S90-700 and CNRS standards for efficacy against COVID-19. The old ISO 22196 standard for cleaning products contained inappropriate terminology such as “bacteriostatic”, “bacteria-resistant”, “bacteria-repellent”, etc., which covered vastly disparate situations and were inadequate for improving hygiene quality. In April 2019, AFNOR published a new standard that puts this concept of hygiene quality back at the centre of the debate: • Four strains tested (Staph. aureus, Enterococcus hirae, Pseudomonas difficile, Escherichia coli); • Test performed under normal environmental conditions (light, temperature, humidity); • Requirement to achieve a 2 log reduction (-99.9%) in one hour on all four strains in order to claim bactericidal quality. This standard is intended to become a new management tool for improved hygiene quality. Its quality makes it a worthy candidate for a new ISO standard. | 118
