The reclaimed yarn is knitted into a high performance fabric in Italy. An average of 640,000 tonnes of fishing nets are left in the ocean every year, which makes up around 10% of marine litter. For every tonne of waste nets collected, enough nylon is generated to create more than 7,000 running leggings.
